Local:

-BIG 105 presents Fertile Choices running at the Matchbox Theatre all weekend. Tix at TM.

-Against The Wall Theatre presents Bull Skit tonight and tomorrow at the Scott Block downtown

-Alberta Midget Hockey League finals see the Red Deer Triple A Midget Optimist Rebels take on Lloydminster tonight at the Arena. Red Deer leads 2-1 and could take the series tonight. 8pm

-Good luck to all the Red Deer and area teams competing in the Hockey Alberta provincials. Several teams taking part in tournaments all across the province. Show em what we’re made of.

Local
- Big 105 presents the Health and Wellness Show this weekend at Westerner Park. Tickets are $9 and get them at the door.
- Red Deer Marlins Summer Swim Club is accepting registrations for this season tomorrow at the Rec Centre on 47A Avenue. Registration runs from 1:30 – 5:00pm.
-St. Francis of Assisi Middle School presents Fiddler on the Roof tonight and tomorrow at the Memorial Centre. Tickets at the door or call Robert at 403-314-1449 x2333

Sports
-The Red Deer Rebels start the playoffs against the Blades tomorrow and Sunday in Saskatoon. Game three goes Wednesday at the Enmax Centrium.
-Hunting Hills Boys and Girls are at the High School Senior Basketball provincials down in Cardston and Raymond this weekend. Go Lightning Go!

-Diary of a Wimpy Kid based on the books by Jeff Kinney. Sorry, but Rowley ain't right...

Local:

-Pure Fighting Championships this weekend at Westerner Park. We’ll check in with Blake.

-Sylvan Lake Pond Hockey Tournament goes all weekend long. Celebrities and great hockey.

-Red Deer Speed and Custom Show and Collector Car Auction at Westerner Park til Sunday.

-Diamonds after the Wedding put on by the Kinette Club. Wear your dress for more prizes.

-An Evening with Walter Gretzky raising funds for the trip to Scotland for Notre Dame students.


Sports:

-Final regular season home game for the Rebels tonight as they host the Kootenay Ice.

-Lindsay Thurber boys and girls are at Hunting Hills tonight. Girls at 6 and boys follow. Zone 4A

Thurber girls and Hunting Hills boys both lead 1-0 in best of three. Game at Thurber tomorrow


Film:

Remember Me featuring the dreamy Robert Pattinson.

She’s Out Of My League which is another of those crude comedies. Ugly guy. Gorgeous girl.

Green Zone, the action thriller with Matt Damon kicking butt and chewing gum. And he's all out of gum.

Weekend Report

Local:
- Notre Dame’s production of “Little Women: the Musical” runs through Saturday at the Memorial Centre. Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for students. Tickets at the door.
- The Red Deer Home School Players’ last showing of “Night At the Wax Museum” is tonight at the First Baptist Church – 4310 39th street – at 7pm. Admission is an offering.
-And Against The Wall theatre has improv tonight at Wild Bills. Tickets are 2 for 1 at the door and showtime is 9:30.

Sports:
-The Red Deer Rebels are home to Swift Current tonight. Tickets at Ticketmaster. Tomorrow the boys are in Medicine Hat taking on the Tigers.
-RDC Queens playoff hockey continues tonight is Edmonton as the girls visit NAIT. Tomorrow is game four at the Red Deer Arena.
