Weekend Report

Local:

-BIG 105 presents the Central Alberta Family Expo at the Parkland Pavilion, Westerner Park. Enjoy a day of fun for the whole family including live entertainment and a petting zoo. Tickets are $20 for a family of four and available at the door.

-Tree House Youth Theatre has their first-ever spring tea celebration and fund raiser Saturday at the Scott Block Theatre downtown. Entertainment, prizes, and several "smackerals" of something sweet. Tickets are $40.

-The 4th Annual Festival of Music and Dance takes place Saturday at the Spruce View Community Hall. Entertainment by The Reflections and The Diamonds Band. The evening includes dancing and a beef on a bun supper. Tickets are $30 by calling (403) 728-3333.

Sports:

- BIG 105 presents PFC7: Spring Break Up, Friday at the Stockmens Pavilion, Westerner Park. Tickets are $50 and available at Ticketmaster.

Film:

-Bridesmaids, a comedy featuring Kristen Wiig and Jon Hamm.

-Priest, a horror thriller with Paul Bettany and Cam Gigandet.

On DVD Friday, Justin Bieber: Never Say Never”. A look at Bieber’s early life, his rise to fame, plus performances and behind-the-scenes footage from his 2010 tour. But you already knew that.

Saturday Night Live features Ed Helms (“The Office) with musical guest Paul Simon.

Next weekend is the May long weekend and the official start of camping season. Better reserve your spot now.
